Today I would like to present a dinosaur piece from Art & Evolution Studio.

This work was inspired by a documentary I watched a few years ago, Dinosaur 13. Although it is centered around dinosaurs, the film is actually a tragic story about science, human nature, power, ideals, and passion. It answered a question I had always wondered about—why are we so fascinated by dinosaurs?

As a biologically inspired studio, and because of my personal interests, our works cover a wide range of subjects including extant animals, prehistoric mammals, humans, and dinosaurs. I will decide the studio’s direction and releases based on the completion level of each work and the current environment. However, dinosaur-themed pieces will always remain the main focus of this studio, and I firmly believe the dinosaur community will continue to grow and improve.

About this release:

When talking about Tyrannosaurus, Sue is impossible to avoid. The large amount of complete data and research available has made it a central focus for both sculptors and enthusiasts. I began related work on this project in 2024. Due to adjustments in poses and details, the original release plan of October 2025 has been postponed to early 2026. The number of pose variations has also increased from the originally planned two to four.

Working extensively on extant animals has also given me a renewed understanding of how to present a stronger “biological feel” in sculpture. The original plan for this release was to publish rendered images created in collaboration with Chouchou Cat Film Studio. However, considering that rendered images might create a preconceived impression and influence how people perceive the raw white prototype, as well as potentially limit the creativity of the painters, I will instead release the renderings gradually after the physical pieces have been shipped.

Note

- Please refer to the measurement.
