Studio Message:
Hello everyone,
As we embark on a new journey in 2025, we are thrilled to present our team’s first collaboration in the latest restoration study of the famous Tyrannosaurus rex specimen Sue.
After a long year of hard work, we had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Eric through numerous video conferences, enjoying insightful discussions. With his immense help and professional guidance, we strictly adhered to scientific restoration principles: calculating muscle structure from the skeleton and skin layers from the muscles—combining the simplest methods and scientific dissection, step by step, from the inside out—dedicated to recreating the ruler of Earth 66 million years ago in full 1/1 scale!
The restoration of Tyrannosaurus rex Sue used the original skeleton scan data by the Field Museum and the latest skull restoration authorized by Eric Snively.
The research findings will be published in 2025.
The statue features two versions of head restoration (lipless version and lip version).
The T-pose Tyrannosaurus rex Sue restoration has a length of 12.8 meters (curved length) or 12.5 meters (straight length).
