Nanmu Studio has provided an explanation regarding paint chipping at the joints:
"The joints are made of POM material, which doesn't hold paint well due to flexibility needed for rotation. The design prioritizes durability. Paint chipping at joints is considered normal and not covered by after-sales service."
PS: The paint chipping only occurs at the joints; there is no paint chipping on the figures' body. The main body parts are mainly made of PVC, with only the joints made of POM material.

This is hands down the highest quality figure I've ever bought. The sculpting and paint job are phenomenal, and it blows Mattel's collector's line out of the water. Only bad thing I can say (and that's minor, since it's sitting on my shelf) is that the bendable part of the tail comes off if messed with too much. I'll definitely be buying more Smart Series figures in the future.
Ok I don't buy anything from stores like Lana time shop, or edel, or beasts of the mesozoic nothing, either because I'm scared it's a scam or the prices are so high. BUT, when I saw this figure in collect jurassic's news video guessed it would be £90 and found it to be only £40 I had to take the chance and oh my goodness this carnotaur is the best figure I think I've ever owned. The articulation is great the paint is phenomenal the sculpt looks like it was ripped right out of a movie the texture is lovely the WEIGHT of my gos the weight when I took it out of the box and audibly said 'damnn' under my breath. Like when you pick up a dinosaur figure you have an expectation as to how much it is going to weight and you are generally correct but I'm convinced this thing is just solid rubbery plastic because of the weight which is just fantastic. Also another great thing, the STABILITY they didn't even need to include a stand this thing can do it all with a bit of finagling I just love it like if you are reading this and you are on the fence about getting this I can guarantee you from my experience that this thing will exceed your expectations just enough to make it worth taking the hit to your wallet but that hit is nothing compared to the competition anyway so I don't know why anyone wouldn't but this if they can. I don't know if you can tell from my ramblings but I really like this carno. OH and one more thing, shipping cost me £1 to have it sent half way around the world AND it arrived in 8 days perfectly on time in perfect condition. You can see why I titled this review Wowza now don't ya? So ye very nice carno I give it 9/10 this thing knocks the hammond collection and a ton of independent creators out of the park.
