The Asian Monarch Rising at Dawn 

As one of the potential regions of origin for Tyrannosaurus rex, Asia has long fascinated the world with its rich fossil resources.

In July 2024, a groundbreaking study published in Scientific Reports unveiled a new tyrannosaurid species from the Nanxiong Formation of Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China. Led by Dr. Zheng Wenjie, the team from the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History described Asiatyrannus xui, filling a crucial gap in the fossil record of deep-snouted tyrannosaurids in southern China. Named in honor of Academician Xu Xing, this remarkable discovery provides key evidence for hypotheses concerning the evolutionary history of the tyrannosaur family.

To commemorate this landmark species, Carson.Long collaborated closely with the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History team to create this special kit. In addition to the figure of Asiatyrannus xui, the set also includes an officially authorized collector’s booklet from the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, specially endorsed by Zhejiang Museum Cultural & Creative. This is our heartfelt tribute to all dinosaur enthusiasts.
