I think the figure is good. The articulation of the limbs is good, and I find the design with the back plates genious, even if it does mean that some joints can move further to one side than the other. I think one shouldn't have overly high expectations regarding unusual poses, as I don't really think it's a big deal/expected it to be, since it wouldn't really be possible in reality due to natural anatomical characteristics (I can imagine that designing the joints was quite a challenge, especially considering the properties of the Stegos and the basic idea of ​​making the joints as inconspicuous as possible). I should also mention that with my figure it was absolutely necessary to warm the joints with a hairdryer to loosen them; this helped tremendously with the mobility afterwards (but it wasn't easy because you have to be careful not to press too hard against the back plates when loosening them, as you have to apply a careful amount of force, especially to the torso/neck/back joints, just to get anything moving in the first place, not to mention the stress of not dropping the figure due to its size, weight, and unwieldiness). Would I recommend this figure? Yes, provided you're a fan of the figure/Stegosaurus or Beasts of the Mesozoic in general. It won't get any cheaper than now (just look at the used prices for the T-Rex 1.0). It's a great figure, very detailed, and a fantastic addition to a collection if you have the money to fill a big gap and are willing to consider what might break if the figure falls: a) the floor, b) the figure itself, c) maybe even your own foot, or d) everything all together ?

I've been following the progress of this particular model through all the social media posts because I was genuinely excited about this release, but... Maybe I'll start with the positives – the sculpting is excellent. Details like the scales on the skin and the textured dorsal plates deserve praise. The anatomy itself is also well-rendered; even from a distance, you can tell which dinosaur it is. For me, the best aspect of this figure is the pattern on the figure and the colors used. Creative Beast Studio really did a great job in this regard; I fell in love with the colors and pattern from the moment they showed off the painted prototype. Although it must be admitted that the color application is unfortunately uneven in places, meaning that in some places the colors blend naturally, while in others they look like paint on the model. Now, the negatives – the SIZE. I knew this figure would be large, which is either a plus or a minus (depending on who you ask), but the size still surprised me. But for me, the biggest downside, and also the biggest disappointment, is the articulation engineering. The joint layout is terribly restrictive. I'm particularly frustrated that some of the joints are cut in a way (especially those in the neck and tail) that in one direction you have a nice range of articulation, while in the other direction the joint elements get in the way. As an action figure fan, I'm very disappointed, considering I've been delighted with every release from Creative Beast Studio so far. Even their Trike and Toro fared better than this Stego. I know that planning the joint layout on a figure is not the easiest task, but in my opinion, the person responsible for engineering the joints on this figure did not do a very good job. Thanks to this figure, I'll definitely be more cautious about buying larger models from Creative Beast Studio in the future. It's very hard for me to recommend this model, even to die-hard dinosaur fans, and even more so to casual fans.
