This Taurovenator is one of the best theropods PNSO has released, in my opinion. The detail on the figure's surface, the color choices, and the application are, as always, top-notch. I love it when manufacturers strive to add dynamism to static models through active poses, and PNSO didn't disappoint. It's a great addition to the collection, and it looks great alongside its cousins ​​on the shelf. I highly recommend it.

The PNSO Taurovenator “Hugo” is an impressive addition to the lineup, representing a relatively recently described carcharodontosaurid theropod from the Huincul Formation of Argentina. It’s exciting to have a high‑quality figure of this species, and PNSO delivers a sculpt that stands out beautifully among its close relatives.

One of the most striking features is the vibrant orange crest, which gives the model a distinctive visual identity while remaining consistent with plausible display structures within large allosauroid theropods. The overall posture—similar to PNSO’s Mapusaurus—leans into a slightly crouched, forward‑poised stance that adds dynamism without compromising stability or presence.

The paint application is excellent, with naturalistic tones and well‑executed patterning that enhance the anatomical detailing. I’ve included photographs of Hugo alongside its closest phylogenetic relatives—Giganotosaurus, Mapusaurus, and Meraxes—all of which lived in the same region of Patagonia during the Late Cretaceous and overlapped in time within the Cenomanian stage.

Overall, this is a strong new theropod release from PNSO. It’s a worthy addition for collectors interested in South American apex predators and the diverse ecosystem of the Huincul Formation.
