Wonderful Scotty T. rex Figure!

An absolutely delightful, high-quality figure of the iconic giant rex, "Scotty". I was absolutely in love with this figure the moment I removed him from his beautifully-designed box! He's got a gorgeous hand-sculpted look which gives him a lot of character before you even consider the abundant details the sculptor has lavished upon him. He looks aged, and injured, but still extremely powerful and dynamic, with a forthright pose that looks equally as good with the jaws open or closed. Scotty stand perfectly well alone, or upon his lovely earthy polystone base, which is coloured in a way that effectively cancels the shadow that the figure casts upon it. The facial details are particularly striking, and very realistic given the known scientific evidence! The colour scheme is brown overall, however this incorporates great complexity of tone and blending which really shows up as light plays upon the figure and adds to the realism! If you open the mouth, you're treated to equally well-considered details and spectacular paintwork, which really lends a sense of foreboding frothy wetness and adds to the menace of the figure. I honestly cannot recommend this figure highly enough, it's the most characterful and vital rex figure I've seen yet, and a very impressive PVC debut from Showanna! I'm greatly looking forward to future offerings from this brand.

Showanna tyrannosaurus rex

This is a beautifully detailed and realistic model although not the scalation of a late pnso model it looks more natural and like a living animal not a model of an animal its also got scars scratches and the teeth are not uniform trex grow new sets of teeth throughout its life and this shows in model and looks real good in dioramas

Good quality

The packaging was secure, and the product quality is good.
Although the color isn’t exactly the same as shown in the promotional images,
the overall details are quite well done.

Scotty review

Nicely done; well worth having. Good representation of an actual t rex. Good paint job with extra details like wounds and such. Fits in well with my other t rexs.

The long wait was worth it

I knew my patience would pay off. It's been a long wait, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box containing Scotty the T-rex. The detail is extremely well done. I like the detail and the war wounds add a great sense of how life was for these magnificent creatures. Life was hard and it makes one appreciative of what they had to go through. T-rex was one of the last dinosaurs and shows how well they had progressed especially within the Tyrannosaurs family. Scotty was definitely the King of the dinosaurs and like to think that Sue was the Queen. Yes, I know we don't know what sex they were, but I still consider them male and female. Great job Showanna. I also appreciate the quick delivery when it was supposed to have been longer. Definitely a 5 star product. By the way, the price was a great value.

Still a great model of a T-Rex

Even though there are differences compared to the prototype and some consider the significantly more expensive resin model to be the benchmark, the model still offers excellent value for money. There are also still fantastic details of a harder life with “signs of wear” that other T-Rex models do not show. The Lana Time Shop's question as to whether the pre-order should remain in place and the alternatives offered are also exemplary.

Very good statue for the money . the details are good , but the best in this statue is the pose , and that makes the best 1:35 on the market in my opinion , thank you !

Perfect ratio scale/scale

When you look at a figure at 1/35th scale, at about 100 centimeters distance is like if you look at a real animal at 35 meters. If at such a distance you can perceive the scales in the skin, that means that the scales are overscaled, because at 35 meters, 1 or two centimeters wide scales are invisible!!! So, it does not matter how tiny you can sculpt the scales, they must not be there!!! So, I think the way Showanna has decided to represent the skin of Scotty is very smart and accurate, you can see the foldings and wrinkles, but not the scales. Bravo Showanna!!!
