I have to admit that, for a purchase made out of mere curiosity (I’m not a huge fan of extinct marine reptiles), this figure pleasantly surprised me. It is impressively large for its scale, which allows for some really crisp, well-defined details. PNSO did a great job capturing the creature's character, particularly through the smooth texture of its scales. The detailing inside the mouth also deserves high praise; it’s great that they included a partially visible forked tongue, reflecting *Tylosaurus*'s close relationship with modern monitor lizards. I’m a bit conflicted about the permanently open mouth—an articulated jaw would have been nice, though given the head's position, I’m not entirely convinced it would have worked well. The only major issue I have with the model is the highly visible seam lines. I’m not sure how PNSO could have handled them differently, but for many collectors, they will be a glaring eyesore. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase, and it might just inspire me to add more aquatic figures from PNSO to my collection :)
